Linux system distributions A-Z

Here you will find a list of major Linux distributions that I want to describe on the blog. We know that there are many distributions, but I have decided to list them from A to Z. This project is based on another blog and a post named “Comprehensive list of all Linux OS distributions.” In general, my blog focuses on non-technical distributions. Additionally, all systems were installed and checked.

These are designed to be user-friendly, easy-to-install distributions with plenty of desktop applications.

Linux system distributions?

Linux system distributions are operating systems made from open source components. Each distribution comes with:

  • the Linux kernel,
  • the GNU shell tools,
  • the X server,
  • the desktop environment,
  • the package management system,
  • the installer,
  • and other services.

Source code is distributed for several independent components. Linux distributions can have thousands of packages, utilities, and applications.
